Can I volunteer at the Walker Animal Shelter?
We will soon be taking volunteers to come in and help out with some of our dogs and cats, specifically with bathing, walking and exercising. Children under the age of 15 will have to have a legal guardian present with them at all times they are volunteering. We love all of our animals here at Walker Animal Control, and would love to let them know someone else out there cares for them the way we do.

How else can I help?
The shelter is always in need of the following donations: towels, rags, mats or rugs, food and water bowls, blankets, leashes, collars, brushes, litter pans, toys, dog and cat carriers and a puppy play yard. Your donations are greatly appreciated, and of course, will will come to your home and pick up the items if it is more convenient for you.

Must I have a pet license?
Licenses are required for exotic pets.

Who do I call or what do I do with a dead animal?
