Ms. Myra Streeter joined the City of Walker in 1997 and is certified as a municipal clerk by the State of Louisiana and the International Clerks Association. She is also a certified municipal assistant and certified administrative assistant. Prior to becoming municipal clerk, she was the assistant town clerk and tax collector from 2000 to 2004, and an account clerk from 1997 to 2000. Ms. Streeter has served three different administrations. A lifelong resident of Walker, she and her husband Jess have two children, Matthew and Meghan. Says Ms. Streeter: "I am very proud to be involved in the development of this community that means so much to me."
