Walker boards, committees & commissions
All meetings of elected or appointed boards or committees in the Town of Walker are open to the public. A public body may vote to convene in an executive, or closed, session in certain instances, such as to consider a personnel matter, or to discuss litigation. However, all votes will be taken in open session. At least 24 hours' written notice will be given for all regular, special or rescheduled meetings of our public bodies, and the agendas will be posted online in advance so that our citizens may take part in the business of the city. We provide an opportunity for public comment at all meetings.

The Town Council
The Town Council meets at 7 p.m. on the second Monday of every month at the Walker Municipal Building, 10136 Florida Boulevard, to consider ordinances, budgets and other matters. The Finance Committee
The Town Council meets as the Finance Committee as needed at the Walker Municipal Building, 10136 Florida Boulevard, to make adjustments to the budget or periodically discuss budgetary matters.

The Planning & Zoning Commission
The Walker Planning & Zoning Board meets the last Thursday of every month at the Walker Municipal Building, 10136 Florida Boulevard, to hold public hearings on and consider residential and commercial zoning and subdividing requests. The Alcohol Beverage Control Board meets as needed at the Walker Municipal Building, 10136 Florida Boulevard, to consider alcohol beverage license applications and/or address licensing issues.
