1. Complete and sign the application. For an online application, click here if this is for a residential property, and click here if it is for a commercial property.

2. You must furnish a signed Act of Cash Sale as proof of ownership. If a customer has not yet closed on the property, the City of Walker will provide service with a purchase agreement that must be signed by both parties. Once you close on the property, however, you must provide us with a copy of the Act of Cash Sale, or services will be locked off. If you are selling the property, you must furnish us with a signed selling contract between the owner and the realtor.

3. You must furnish us with the signed listing agreement.

4. You must provide us with your tax identification number.

5. You must pay the following deposits:

Water $25
Sewer $25
Gas $40
Garbage $40 per container

Realtors will be excluded from the garbage container deposit only if the property is unoccupied and you will be responsible for removing and disposing of any trash found on the premises.

6. You must pay the following service charges:

Water $17
Sewer $25
Gas $17

7. Although the Town of Walker does not provide electricity, we do require that residents inside the city limits obtain an occupancy permit before Entergy can connect your service. The fee for that permit is $20. After you have been approved for utility service, the clerk will provide you with the proper paperwork to connect your electricity.
