HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS

The City of Walker is centrally located in South Louisiana, between Baton Rouge and New Orleans along Interstate 12. The City of Walker's administrative offices in the Walker Municipal Building and the Courtroom are located at 10136 Florida Boulevard [U.S. 190], just west of La. 447. The map above shows its location. Click on "View Larger Map" in the lower left-hand corner to see more of the map.
If you are traveling west from Hammond or beyond, take Interstate 12 to Exit #15 at La. 447. Continue right onto La. 447, also known as Walker South Road. Continue past Walmart and Stine Lumber on your right until you reach the intersection of La. 447 and U.S. 190. Turn left. The Walker Municipal Building & Municipal Courtroom are one block down on the left. You'll see an antique clock and wagon in front of it. Free parking is available in the lot adjacent to the building.
If you are traveling east from Baton Rouge or beyond, take Interstate 12 to Exit #15 at La. 447. Turn left onto La. 447, also known as Walker South Road, crossing over the interstate. Continue past Walmart and Stine Lumber on your right until you reach the intersection of La. 447 and U.S. 190. Turn left. The Walker Municipal Building & Municipal Courtroom are one block down on the left. You'll see an antique clock and wagon in front of it. Free parking is available in the lot adjacent to the building.
